Please keep Morgan Freeman in your prayers. He is one of my FAVORITE actors and was in an unfortunate car wreck last night. The car he was in flipped several times on Highway 32. Doctors at the Memphis hospital where he is being treated, have stated that he’s currently in serious condition (At least it’s not critical condition).
I just looked up his Filmography on IMDB, and he’s been in 87 movies! WOA!
Some of my favs included “Driving Miss Daisy”, “Bruce Almighty”, “Lean on Me”, and the new one, “The Dark Knight”.
What are your favorite Morgan Freeman movies?

Sunday Evening, we celebrated Christina’s 24th birthday!!! We started off at Kobe’s for that birffday dinner.

Aren’t they a cute couple? (Christina and Dan)

The photo of the little volcano that the Chef made came out pretty good.

Me and Ta’Nia fighting for a piece of fried cheesecake. We are too silly.

We are thugs!

Nobody better say ANYTHING about my forehead! LOL!

This man from Alabama sang DIRECTLY at Christina! What a BIRTHDAY!

And then so did the host!

One of many GREAT poets at the AKA Lounge.

I love how this man acknowledged his wife before even starting his seccsy little poem. Congrats to her on going for her master’s degree!

CeeCee is the MAIN attraction every Sunday at the AKA Lounge. Her stage presence is AWESOME and her voice is even better! Orlando’s talent just amazes me!

There’s an explanation for our faces in this photo. Someone TRIED us! We spent the rest of our time dancing the night away. If you haven’t been to AKA’s on Sunday night, you GOTTA Go!

If you felt that a REALLY close friend of yours was developing a mental illness, what would you do? If this person was acting increasingly irrational, making random changes, and growing more and more distant, would you feel the need to intervene? How would you know if it was your place to step up and say something?
I swear guys, there are crazy people in this world, and the man from this story is one of them. Apparently, he was riding on a Greyhound bus in Canada and seemed completely normal until about 8:30 P.M. when he decided to begin STABBING the poor victim sleeping next to him. Whitnesses said he stabbed the man approximately 50 - 60 times before he proceeded to decapitate him (in front of everyone!). If you didn’t know already, you should stay your behind off of the bus for a while.
A 40-year-old man is in custody in Manitoba after a young man was stabbed — and, witnesses said, decapitated — aboard a Greyhound bus travelling through the province overnight.
The RCMP would not confirm the reports of beheading, saying only that a stabbing took place around 8:30 p.m. CT on an eastbound Greyhound bus on the Trans-Canada Highway about 20 kilometres west of Portage la Prairie.
The suspect, believed to be from outside Manitoba, was arrested early Thursday morning after a standoff lasting several hours and remains in RCMP custody .
Charges have not yet been laid, and the suspect has not yet been interviewed, said RCMP spokesman Staff Sgt. Steve Colwell, adding that he could release no further information on the investigation….[continue reading here]

If you’re ever in the need of a horror story, no need for “Saw” or “Hostel”, just flip the channel to your local news station and see what’s going on in the real world.

If you’ve been to my house, you know my patio REALLY needs some help. Kayla just ordered this set from Amazon.com and I was AMAZED by the cheap prices! (Table, $42.59; 2 chairs, $109.99)

I spent this past weekend in Miami celebrating Jeane’s birthday. The ride there was boring as hell, but well worth it.
Above are all of the usual suspects (and Natalie’s new pooch Roxy) jazzed up before heading to Opium for the night.
The Hostess wrote a WONDERFUL post today which caused me to add my two cents in.
Women all too often fall for great s.e.x., good looks, $MONEY$, or a dream that will never come to reality when choosing their mate. This is cool for the short-term, but many eventually end up stuck with someone who’s really not good for them.
There are so many articles out there hinting at a shortage of viable men, dooming women everywhere to end up alone or better yet, share a man for the rest of their life. I’m not sure if those rumors are true or not, but we shouldn’t use that speculation as an excuse to mate with people who really aren’t worth our time.
A WISE MAN once said, “You’ve got to appraise it before you buy it“, which translates to the fact that when choosing a potential mate, we all need to:
Of course, love is not a rational creature. If we could all pick and choose who we fell in love with based on logical variables, the world would altogether be a better place. We find ourselves doing the craziest things, going against our beliefes of right and wrong, putting ourselves in the strangest situations all in order to keep someone around and it’s just foolish. If someone really wanted you in their life, and had your best interests at heart, you wouldn’t have to sacrifice your self-worth, priorities, hopes, and dreams to be with them….which brings me to her quote below.
I guess this goes back to women having this crazy idea that the more they sacrifice and prove their love, the clearer it will be to the object of their affection that he should be with her. HA! After all the sacrificing is done, if the woman doesn’t get what she wants (thinks she deserves) then she starts thinking about all the sacrifices she made to be with a man.
No relationships are cakewalks. There are always sacrifices to be made, but one of the most important things is that BOTH parties involved are willing to make them. If you appraised what you were purchasing before you bought it, you’d know if the fight was truly worth it.

I must confess, I MUST! I’m a digital pack rat and I seriously need some help! I honestly have a fear of deleting files and it’s getting ridiculous! (Is there a scientific term for this condition?)
Here are my symptoms:
Maybe Niecy from Clean House can come help?
Do any of you out there share the same issue? Any creative file organizing options you have to offer?
