I’ve heard before, that if you write it down, you can make things happen. I’ve said it before…but let me say it again…..
I will own a home within 3 years
But what’s a goal without a plan achieve it? My first step will be to make an appointment with my financial adviser to see if this is really possible for me. I’ve been good at keeping my credit score up, have been very cautious in my big purchases, and I feel I’m responsible enough to take on a home now (Just need to work on the savings!).
I promise not to fall into one of those “creative” mortgages, or buy something way beyond my means. I won’t buy a condo either…a single-family home is what I want.
I’ll keep you posted along the way. Is anyone else out there trying to get into a home? Are the stories in the news about the housing market scaring you away a bit? Has anyone out there recently purchased a home? Do you have any suggestions?

I almost bought a condo/townhouse last year, but I chickened out. All that responsibility makes me nervous. Now I’m just not sure where I want to plant my roots.
